Welcome to Santae Entertainment LLC, an independent game studio based in Mobile, Alabama, where creativity, community, and innovation come together. We’re the team behind Santae, a dynamic virtual pet RPG that blends nostalgic charm with bold, modern gameplay.
We officially launched Alpha Testing on May 12, 2024, moved into Beta Testing on October 5, 2024, and are thrilled to welcome everyone with Open Beta starting March 31, 2025.
Santae is the highest-funded virtual pet game in Kickstarter history, reaching over 500% of our original funding goal thanks to our passionate and supportive player community.
With nearly 10,000 registered users and growing fast, Santae is redefining the future of online pet games, pixel RPGs, and story-driven virtual worlds.

- CJ (Founder & Developer):
Hey, I’m CJ—Registered Nurse, lifelong gamer, and the creator of Santae. I bring over 20 years of experience in the virtual pet site community, along with 10+ years in game development and 10+ years of leadership and management in the healthcare field where teamwork, decision-making, and problem-solving are critical. That same focus, empathy, and resilience now guide Santae’s development.
My vision for Santae was simple: create a game that feels like home. A place where people from all walks of life feel welcomed, included, and inspired. I live in Alabama with my partner Logan, also a nurse, and our two huskies, Cooper and Ivy, who definitely run the household.

- Ember (Lead Developer):
Ember is our full stack developer and the technical brain behind Santae’s evolving codebase. With over 20 years of professional development experience, Ember has built and maintained everything from games to complex platforms—and brings an incredible blend of technical mastery, creative insight, and calm leadership to our team.
Residing in the UK, Ember is a proud dog parent to Levi - a fluffy local celebrity who is usually referred to as Santae's "Junior Programmer"!

- And most importantly, fosters kindness, inclusion, and creativity.
We believe in building something that feels alive—with deep lore, immersive mechanics, and player-driven evolution. Our upcoming expansion, Mystic Adventure, is just the beginning of what’s possible.
