Silvershade's Letter To Vespera

Vespera shivered in the cool night air as she took a break outside her shop to watch the moon rise. The season was changing, and the breeze through Shadow Veil Pass was laced with a new chill. Autumn was truly setting in!

As she watched the sky, she saw a familiar silhouette cross the stars. It was the shadow of River's wings as the Raylen flew home. Vespera watched as River swooped in for a graceful landing. The Raylen landed next to Vespera with a friendly chirp, offering an envelope clasped in her beak.

"A letter? Thank you, River," Vespera said, taking the envelope and opening it. She stepped back into the light of her shop to read the note inside, and River hopped in after her.

"It's from Silvershade," Vespera remarked. "They're inviting us to come visit," Vespera smiled at River. "Something interesting is going on out there. They mentioned some strange new Minimals."

River let out a cheerful trill, fluffing up her feathers. "It does sound like an exciting mystery," Vespera agreed. "I wonder..."

Vespera hummed thoughtfully. "The Ancient Echoes Festival is soon to begin, so there's certainly no shortage of strange magic in the air. I wonder if that has anything to do with what Silvershade saw?"

"Once we're done with our Festival preparations, let's pay the Ranch a visit to find out!"

Thriving Trees Sprout Even More New Berries

The regular tending, pruning, and fertilizer that Adventurers are giving the Berry Tree is bearing fruit -- literally! Flora Greenleaf is thrilled at the results. She has been carefully cataloguing the health of the Tree over time, and can now confidently say that all of your efforts are helping the forest Thrive like never before.

The proof? Even more new varieties of delicious berries! Grab your baskets, Adventurers: There are now Nine New Berries to pluck from the Berry Tree's branches, if you're lucky enough to find them.

Visitors Swoop Into Silvershade's Ranch

It was a beautiful day at the Minimal Ranch, with a clear sky overhead and brisk wind rustling the trees. Silvershade had just finished telling a group of Adventurers about where to find and tame some Minimals they spotted, and was now hard at work tending to the daily chores around the Ranch.

As usual, a small group of Minimals romped at Silvershade's heels as they completed their chores. It was shaping up to be a regular day of Herding and ranching. But then, something in the air changed!

Most of the Minimals nearby froze in place and looked upwards, pointing their ears and their gazes toward the sky. A couple of flying Minimals took off with a clatter of flapping wings. Silvershade shaded their eyes to watch as the Ranch's flying Minimals swooped upwards -- and then even farther upwards!

"Where are y'all going?" Silvershade called up to the circling Minimals. A dark, shiny Krow cawed down at them, but didn't descend. A pair of shimmering Flutterwings fluttered in excited loops high above. Silvershade squinted, peering deep into the sky for a better look.

There! Up above the Ranch's Minimals, a group of dark specks was moving across the clouds. It looked like another flock of Flying Creatures...

Before Silvershade could decide what to do, the specks started to grow larger. The mysterious flying creatures had noticed the Minimals from the Ranch -- and they were diving lower!

Silvershade watched with astonishment as the mystery fliers descended. They swooped down with incredible grace and speed to greet the Ranch's flying Minimal flock, light gleaming off of their scales.

They were Dragons!

As Silvershade watched, the draconic Minimals soared down to greet the Ranch's airborne residents, and the two groups mingled playfully. One deep red Dragon blew rings of smoke as it spiraled through the sky. Another draconic Minimal, cream and red with two long, trailing tails, seemed to bounce through the air as it made a game out of flying through the hoops of smoke left by its companion.

Another dragon Minimal, with especially beautiful gleaming Purple scales, performed a flashy loop as it raced against one of its companions, a small, whiskery green dragon. Higher up, a Minimal with spangled wings as Dark as the night sky maintained a swift and graceful pace even as the other dragons romped around it.

It was an incredible sight. But then, almost as quickly as they arrived, the dragon Minimals flapped their wings, increased their speed, and swooped back up into the Higher Atmosphere. The air filled with friendly chirps and growls as the Dragons and the Ranch Minimals said their farewells, and the Ranch's residents fluttered back down to the ground.

"Where in Santae did the likes of them come from?" Silvershade wondered aloud as their Minimal friends regrouped around them. "I've never seen critters like that before -- and I've roamed all over."

They watched closely as the specks of the mysterious dragons vanished over the horizon, keeping track of where they had flown. One thing was for sure: They were High Flyers!

"Maybe they came from the Sky," Silvershade mused, then laughed aloud. It was a silly idea. But actually -- maybe not impossible? Wherever the Dragons had come from, it was probably high up. There were wondrous places like that in Santae -- even magnificent flying islands like the Pinnacles.

"If anyone would be able to find where the Dragons came from, I bet Vespera can," Silvershade decided. They looked fondly around at the flock of flying Minimals nearby. "You're great fliers, but I don't think you can help me explore the sky. Vespera and River will be able to go where we can't. Let's get in touch with her!"

Tame A Draconic Minimal Of Your Own

"They didn't get close enough for me to try taming one myself, Adventurers -- but I saw where they went! If you stop by, I can point you in the right direction. I'm asking Vespera to look into where the dragon Minimals are coming from. In the meantime, You can see where they're going!"
