Signs Along the Way: Fortune Shimmers
The Wilderlands have not yet been found. They remain beyond reach. Unmapped, unseen, and unresolved. What Santae has encountered so far are not answers, but signals.
Silvershade’s work in Seraphic Meadows was never meant to uncover the Wilderlands themselves, only to observe the land for changes that might point toward them. Recently, one such change stood out.
This wasn't a new idea. Santae has seen Shimmer Dust before. But this dust was different.
It appeared where it shouldn’t have, clinging to root and stone with a faint, steady glow. It was less like a pigment, more like a message. It didn’t scatter the way other dusts do. It held its shape. It waited.
Rose brought samples back to her bench, expecting a familiar process.
Instead, the dust resisted every standard method. Heat made it pulse. Pressure made it brighten. Even stillness seemed to change it, as though it responded to presence more than technique.
Silvershade watched the tests in silence for a long moment.
“This isn’t a variation,” they said at last.
“It’s a refinement.”
When Vespera arrived, she didn’t ask what it did. She simply held out her hand.
“Fortune,” Vespera said quietly. “That’s what this is.”
Rose didn’t chase mystery. She chased repeatability.
And after careful reconstruction, she found it: the missing step, the correct balance, the method that turns this strange trace into something reliable.
Fortune Shimmer Dust can now be
Crafted.
And when used, it does what it was always meant to do and something familiar, but unmistakably new in feeling:
It allows your pet to shift into a newly revealed color.
To mark the discovery, Vespera tested the first stable batch herself, changing River the Raylen and Ripple the Quenaris into Fortune.
Back in Motion
Some doors in Santae don’t stay closed for long.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve been tightening systems, cleaning up loose ends, and preparing a few things we weren’t ready to leave quiet. Today, we’re happy to say the world is opening up again, along with a couple of fresh additions.

Bug Fix: Pet Collection Instruments
We’ve also fixed an issue where adding instruments to your pet’s collection could incorrectly report that you already owned the item when you didn’t.
That should now behave correctly, and instrument collection progress should track as expected.
